The Anza Field Watch is designed to be your go-to watch, the timepiece you keep closest to you wherever you travel. The one-piece construction makes changing between straps easy and fast, giving you the ability to wear your favorite watch with a different look in seconds.
We wanted to ensure the best drinking experience with our glass bottle, so we started with premium borosilicate glass. Then added soft, comfortable silicone for an easy grip, as well as a high-quality, BPA-free tritan cap encased in natural bamboo. The thick bottle mouth delivers the most comfortable sip and the ultra-pure glass ensures the water tastes natural.
Soma's new and improved filter was certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to Standard 53 for the reduction of heavy metals (Mercury and Copper), as well as Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine, taste and odor and Zinc. The housing is built from sugarcane plant-based materials and uses an activated coconut shell carbon with ion-exchange resin to deliver great tasting, clean water.
The 6-Cup Pitcher was created to elevate the filtration and drinking experience and uniquely designed to fit seamlessly into the lives of today's consumer, who live smaller, simpler lives.
The beautiful, space-saving design slides easily into the fridge while still carrying plenty of water. It was thoughtfully built using BPA-free, ultra-durable materials and a sustainable white-oak handle. Innovative features like the automatically opening fill door (using the pressure of the water) and no-spill lid help complete the premium filtration experience.
We launched Relays Sport Wireless with a very unique perspective. These sport focused Bluetooth Headphones were designed so that the weight (battery and electronics) was pulled out of the earbuds and placed in ergonomic pods that sit very comfortably on the neck. This resulted in the lightest weight Bluetooth Sports headphone under $149 and allowed SOL REPUBLIC to truly differentiate in a very crowded market.
Managing the team of Product Managers at HP, I was tasked with infusing the portfolio with lifestyle design. This was most important to execute in the softgoods category. HP Odyssey is a great example of the evolution of the softgoods portfolio and how they were able to be more relevant with a younger audience.
The perfect traveling companion, HP Roar Travel was concepted based on the need to streamline the amount of electronics people typically travel with. Its a Bluetooth speaker with amazing audio quality, a built-in battery to charge your devices on the go, as well as simplified cable management (integrated USB connection for charging Roar and a easy-access pocket for a small charging cable for your devices).
The Omen Backpack and Mouse were built side by side with the launch of the HP Omen Gaming Notebook. The launch of the laptop was a big one for HP and we wanted to ensure the ecosystem of accessories was aligned closely in both design and functionality. We made sure that the backpack was built large enough to support all of a gamer's needs on the go and included easily accessible pockets for mice, headphones and even an extra keyboard. The Omen mouse was designed to be lightweight and easy-to-use, but still contain all of the bells and whistles that a real gamer expects from the gaming experts at HP.
At HP, we studied our customer continuously and learned that one of the major pain points of our core user was battery life. HP power-users could not afford to run out of juice while on the go. However, they were also sick and tired of packing their backpacks and messengers with a bunch of cables and multiple charging devices. They were looking for one seamless solution to meet their needs, so we laser-focused on multiple device charging capability and cable management when building the Power Pack Plus 12000 and 18000. We also knew that our users consistently had their chargers out in public while charging, so we wanted to make sure these chargers were the right combination of function and high-fashion. Combining hard goods and soft goods had not been done before in this growing product category, which made development very challenging. After a ton or work, including inventing new processes to manufacture, the result is a truly innovative product that provides a seamless, beautiful device charging experience on the go.
As a key differentiator, in addition to smartphone and tablet charging, the 18000 also supports charging notebooks.
5400 and 2500
In today's fast-paced, connected world, sometimes you just need an emergency charge for your device and other times you need enough extra power to get you through an entire day. We built the Portable Power 5400 and 2500 to give you multiple extra charges for your iPhone, but also focused on delivering them in compact packages. The integrated cable to charge the internal battery was a key feature, but we also wanted to provide this simple experience in a beautiful package that allowed consumers to showcase a little personality. The simple, hidden, intuitive LEDs and silicon non-slip base were integrated design elements that really make using the Portable Power 5400 and 2500 seamless experiences.
The concept for LG Tone came out of the hesitancy of consumers to adopt wireless stereo products. We wanted to create a solution that felt natural for people and could ease the transition from the simple wired headset they were used to, to a slightly more complex wireless product with an enhanced experience. We came up with a concept that sat wirelessly on the neck, but still left consumers with the wired earbuds that felt very familiar. We knew LG Tone was a groundbreaking product, but never expected it to become the #1 selling Bluetooth Stereo Headset in the world.
The HBM-810 was the perfect all-in-one solution for consumers that wanted to stay hands-free all of the time. They could use the noise-cancelling, dual-microphone Bluetooth Mono Headset while not in the car and then dock the headset to the speakerphone while in the car. The seamless transfer of audio to the speakerphone from the headset (or vice-versa) allowed users a comfortable wireless audio transition and also the ability to charge the headset while driving. Perhaps the best feature of the HBM-810 was the solar panel on the back side of the speakerphone that charged the speakerphone and the headset when docked. The solar panel delivered 1 hour of talk time for every hour of sunlight, essentially eliminating the need for wall-outlet power.
The LG HBM-570 was a special project, as it was the first wireless headset to integrate LG's Name Alert(TM) technology. Name Alert addressed a major pain point that consumers had with Bluetooth mono headsets at the time. There was typically no way to know who was calling without looking at your phone, but by integrating this technology, LG phone users could now hear the incoming callers name (not number), when using the HBM-570.
The HBM-730, LG's first dual-mic Bluetooth mono headset was the first wireless headset from LG to sell over 1 million units.
Here are a few additional products I worked on throughout my career, including beautifully designed notebook sleeves, the first fluorescent connectivity cables from Incase and multiple Bluetooth mono headsets for LG.
